Share your knowledge. It’s a way
For thousands of years, people from diverse cultures around the world have passed on their traditions, beliefs, and advice through the telling of stories. These stories have explained lessons of life, taught others how to survive in difficult circumstances . They've explained why things have happened the way they have and offered tales of great adventure, tragedy, or love.
The thing is, every life — no matter how ordinary it seems — is a story worth telling.
Sometimes an interesting perspective borne out of considerable thought and experience (mundane or otherwise) yields wisdom well worth the sharing. Rather than focusing on details of what happened when, you may want to simply pass along your ideas — your values and beliefs, ultimately your wisdom. A book that captures what you think and believe, whether it’s to influence, inform or even entertain, can be an invaluable gift that can capture the imagination and attention now and long after you’re gone.
In addition to passing along wisdom, we now know that reminiscence and life review helps people gain self worth and learn more about themselves. When you reflect on, gather up and pass along your stories, you give a valuable gift not only to future generations, you give a gift to yourself.
Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.
A 25th wedding anniversary, an 18th birthday, graduation from university, crossing a finishing line… are all good reasons to celebrate! And they’re equally good reasons to reflect back on the love, the energy, the determination, extraordinary effort, good luck, lessons and more that have gone into reaching the milestone. Creating a book that tells the tale is both a great way to honour the occasion and chronicle the stories behind it.
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become
Exotic sites; warm reconnections; daring or simply delightful adventures; mystical, magical, even maddening memories… are all well worth capturing and bundling in a one-of-a-kind keepsake book.
We so often think of sharing our greatest adventures through photographs alone. But really, most often it’s the stories, the hilarious and not-so funny events, the confounding, perplexing and sometimes magnificently uplifting tales that people really want to know about. Sharing not only where you’ve been but what happened can be an extremely valuable way of connecting with and inspiring both those who were with you and those who were only with you in spirit!
After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.
Despite the fact that birth is utterly commonplace, there is no question, it is sacred. Every baby that comes into the world — every teeny person’s entrance — is profound and changes so many lives! Photos capture so much that memories often refuse to hang onto. But old or young, most of us love to hear the tales that surround our arrival. When did you find out you were pregnant with me? How did you feel? What did dad say? Where was I born? Who was there? All these details and more can beautifully accompany pregnancy photos along with baby’s first pictures creating a splendid offering for both parents and the baby — who one day may be a parent too!
If you don’t know the trees you may be
